List address

The List Address is the address to which subscribers will send their posts. It can be in one of 2 formats. If you have your own domain name, the address can be [listname]@[yourdomain].

NOTE: The DNS MX record must point to custmx.panix.com in order to have a list address in your domain. If you already have non-Panix mail service in the domain, this change would break your mail. The solution is to use a subdomain, such as lists.[yourdomain]. This way you can have a separate MX record for your lists and your regular email.

If you do not have or wish to use your own domain then the address must be [listname]@mailman.panix.com.

In either case, the list name must be unique in our system.` Your first pick may not be available.

Initial list administrator address

The List Administrator Address is the address to which various list administration notices and requests are sent. You will be able to change or add additional addresses for this role in the list's web interface.
